Hazard Grade: 4.2

Thiourea dioxide is a stable chemical compound that has neither oxidizing property nor reducing property. Its solubility in water is 26.7g/L (20℃), and the pH value of its saturated aqueous solution is 5.0. Thiourea dioxide is very stable even in the water solution at the temperature from 20℃ to 30℃. However, under heating or function of alkali, it will decompose and dissociate sulfinic acid, and thus reflect relatively strong reducing activity.

II. Specification:

Content: ≥99.0%

Residual thiourea: ≤ 0.10%

Water content: ≤ 0.05%

Fe: ≤10PPM

Sulfate: ≤ 0.17%

III. Applications:

As a new environmental-friendly product that could replace sodium dithionite, thiourea dioxide has features like high reduction potential, obvious effect, exceptional thermal stability, convenience for storage and transportation, etc. Thiourea dioxide is widely used in dyeing of vat dyes and sulfur dyestuff, blenching of woolen and silk fabrics, reducing and cleaning of disperse dyestuffs, elimination of nonconforming coloration of direct or reactive dyes, cleaning of dye vat, etc. In addition, thiourea dioxide could also be used in bleaching of paper pulp and ink removal of wasted paper in paper production, and used as catalyst and stabilizer of synthetic resin in polymer materials industry. It also has certain applications in fine chemical engineering like organic synthesis of photosensitive materials, drugs, pharmaceuticals and spices, as well as recycling and separation of precious metals. The product does not have any environmental pollution in the using process.

IV. Packing:

1. Flexible containers with the packing specification of 500kg and 1000kg

2. Fiber board drum with the packing specification of 50kg

 3. Plastic bag with the packing specification of 25kg or 50kg

4. Craft paper bag with the packing specification of 25kg

V. Storage and Transportation:

Thiourea dioxide shall be stored in dry and clean area with good ventilation conditions. The room temperature of the warehouse shall be below 30℃. Keep the product away from kindling material, heat sources and direct sunshine. Pay attention to moisture and rain prevention measures. Maintain the containers closed, and ensure the label is intact and available. Handle with care in the loading and unloading process to prevent the damage of package and containers. Transportation should not be arranged in rainy days. The product shall be stored separately with flammable or combustible materials, reducing agent, sulfur and phosphorus. Mixed storage and transportation with such materials shall be avoided. Avoid contacting with other materials that may lead to decomposition of the product.
