Thiourea

Product Introduction: white glossy crystal. Bitter taste. Density: 1.41 Melting Point: 176~178℃ Decompose after heating. The product is soluble to water, and could dissolve in ethyl alcohol after heating. It is very slightly soluble to diethyl ether. In the melting process, the product will partially form into ammonium thiocyanate due to isomerization. The product could be used as raw materials for the production of drugs, dyes, resin, molding powder, etc. In addition, the material could also be used as vulcafor for resin, flotation agent for metallic minerals, etc. Thiourea is generated from the reaction of calcium cyanamide with calcium sulfhydrate, which is generated from the reaction between hydrogen sulfide and lime slurry. The product could also be produced by melting ammonium sulfocyanate, or through the reaction between urea anhydride and hydrogen sulfide:

Functions and Applications:

The product could be used as a raw material for the synthesis of sulfathiazole, methionine, weight gaining pallets for pigs and other drugs. It could be used as a raw material for dyestuff and dyeing auxiliary, resin and compression molding powder. It could be used as vulcafor of rubber, flotation agent for metallic minerals, catalyst for the production of phthalic anhydride and fumaric acid, and corrosion inhibitor of metals. In terms of photographic materials, it could be used as the photographic developer and color matching agent. The material could also be applied in electroplating industry. Thiourea is also used in diazo sensitized paper, synthetic resin paint, anion exchange resin, germination promoter, bactericide, etc. Thiourea could be used as chemical fertilizer.

The product could be used as raw materials for the production of drugs, dyes, resin, molding powder, vulcafor for rubber, flotation agent for metallic minerals, etc.
